What is Failing Imperfectly?

I want to introduce you to what Failing Imperfectly stands for and what Failing Imperfectly will be focused on from here on out. But to get to that point, I want to take a step back and talk about why I chose Failing Imperfectly.

I chose the name Failing Imperfectly because it stands for two things I struggle with every single day. It stands for giving myself freedom to be imperfect and to fail over and over again. In my very first post I said:

My hope with Failing Imperfectly is that I inspire some part of your life. I want to share all the things that I struggle with, and my triumphs, so that you know you are not alone. I’m a hot mess, we all are, but we don’t feel like we are together. We tend to feel so alone in this world, even when we aren’t.

You are not alone. I am not alone. We do not need permission from anybody to dream and make shit happen in our life. Failure is part of the process, even if it is painful. To get where I want to go, I could unpublish every post since June 12, 2018 and start fresh, or I could leave it all there and show you that every dream, every path, every journey, has a starting place. To get where we want to go, we have to start somewhere.

Today, I am putting more focus on where I want to go. Does that mean there won’t be random mumblings that continue here, nope. Sometimes writing to you get me through something I’m working on. But, I am creating focus and clarity on what I want the Failing Imperfectly brand to stand for and represent.

What does Failing Imperfectly stand for?

What is Failing Imperfectly focused on?

Personal growth, professional growth, loving oneself,
putting self first, joy, adventure, discovering oneself,
all-around health, working through past trauma,
living in the present, giving back, challenging oneself,
embracing failure, grace

As I continue to focus Failing Imperfectly, I will be releasing new content here and potentially as a podcast or video series. I dabbled in YouTube a little as you’ll see in the historical posts, but I am unsure if that will continue. For now, buckle up and stay tuned.
