Knowing when you are triggered doesn't always happen at the time of the trigger. Being able to chronicle how the trigger is directly affecting your life may not happen all at once. From my experience, getting triggered and the effects that present themselves in the days or weeks after is a process that doesn't always repeat exactly the same. I'd like to believe it depends on what the trigger was, the situation that prompted the trigger, what else is happening in life when the trigger is felt, and for us women, what level our hormones are at.

Just when I thought I was finding a groove, I actually hit a wall. Stress buildup and burn out can surprise us like that. The thing that I didn't do well is recognize it and work through it. I hit that wall and lost myself.

This summer has flown by and I really haven't taken care of much like I usually do. From being burnt out with always having issues with work to having my values and ethics challenge to consistent unhealthy air due to fires west of us to hitting a wall where I stopped taking care of myself, I don't feel myself.
